This book is about a boy named Moose Flanagan, he lives on the civilian side of Alcatraz. His sisters’ name is Natalie, she is disabled and does not get accepted into any school. Moose sends a note to his laundryman who is Al Capone. She gets into the school and Moose gets a note in his laundry that says Done. Moose is surprised! He thinks about how Al Capone got his sister in from a 5ft by 9ft cell. A few days after Natalie goes to school Mooses’ Mom starts regretting that she spent so less time with Moose and starts hanging out with him. She makes his favorite food and asks him to go for a walk with him.

Moose has some friends on the Island, one of them is a girl named Annie. She is a girl who likes baseball but boys make fun of her. Another one of Mooses’ friends is Scout, he loves flies and dreams to have a fly circus. They all love baseball and are best friends.

Moose receives a note in his pillowcase that says what he needs to do to get even with Al Capone, Moose questions if he should do this or not, if he did then his family may get kicked off the island. If he doesn't then Al Capone will get mad and can harm him.

What will Moose Do?
